Requiem

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.

Te decet hymnus Deus, in Sion, et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem.

Exaudi orationem meam; ad te omnis caro veniet.

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.

Amen.

Commemorating the day?

No. Not he day, the lives. The day was like any other. The lives are irreplacable.

I've tried to read several of the 2,996 essays about those who died on Sept. 11, 2001 every night for the past few nights. Some names I recognize because they have become semi-famous: Mychal Judge, Ronnie Bucca.
Some were not so famous.
One man has (pretty close to) my name and was the same age as I was on that awful day.
It's very depressing, in a kind of profound way.

Spd, don't let this get to you and make you quit. I know you took down your post on quitting because of the inane vulgarity some fellow Americans profess, but DON'T GIVE UP!

I haven't been sleeping well for the past few nights, but it may pass. But I don't want to forget any of it.

Forget? Hell.
I cannot forget.
As much as I'd like to.
