Snakes

Almost exactly one year ago I posted a longwinded piece on the Iranian oil bourse and how those skeeving bastards that government might manipulate the dollar by only accepting Euros, rather than the world-wide standard, "petrodollars." Pay no attention to the pink bikini.

Today it was announced that those skeeving bastards Iran is demanding that Japan pay for all of its Iranian oil in yen.
Japan should think, hard, before complying with the orders of a terrorist nation.
I know that I will be thinking about it. You should be, too.

Yes Ms Poland was rather longwinded wasn't she. Probably owing to her healthy lung capacity.

What a coincidence, Portia! That's exactly the same thing I said the first time I saw her Ms. Poland.

Iran and anyone else can sell THEIR oil in whatever currency it wants. It's morally right for the OWNER of an asset or resource to sell in whatever terms the owner wants. Don't be surprised if more oil countries do likewise, since US dollars is so weak.

US has no business trying to tell other countries what currency to use, since it is not USA's oil. This snake is such an idiot for suggesting otherwise.

Money talks, non?

But "US dollars is so weak". As is posting anonymously...

Anon. is confused. The US can tell other countries whatever the hell it damned well pleases. And those nations can do whatever they damned well please in return. The only idiot here is one who thinks otherwise. That'd be you.

What I was thinking. Of course we can demand what we want. And if our demands aren't met, the next question is -- what are we going to do about it?

Any ideas?
