Go over to Red and Denton's place, and learn to believe again.
*****The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and it could be again.
Oh, people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come."
Thanks, Ray.

UPDATE: Portia convinced me to add the mp3 of "People wiil come" to the sidebar. Now you can listen to it everyday of the season!

My bad.
And they'll watch the game, and it'll be as if they'd dipped themselves in magic waters.
Marvelous.
Perfect picture, spd. I can feel the warmth of the sun even on this chilly, gray day. Thanks:)
If the Yankees are the favorite, I'll be rooting for the underdog.
I guess that would be the Braves:)
And yes, it used to be a holiday in Cincinnati on Opening Day of Baseball Season.
The schools were closed, businesses closed. There is still a big parade in Cincy, and all the rest, though.
And people came. People still come.
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.
-"Don Brouhaha, rounding third and heading for home"
Nice have at it, spd. Red Sox are looking fine. Schilling is back minus his red socks; Papi didn't lose his mo; Coco Pops--or whatever his name is--proved to be your new "Johnny-on-the spot;" and Damon did stike out...once.
Of course, you didn't dazzle the crowd with a grand slam nor end up with a final score in the double digits but you can't have everything:)
This should be fun. Very fun.
The Braves didn't have a grand slam, but we had two three run homers and double digits in runs. And nearly blew big leads twice with awful relief pitching.
Same as last year. Same as last year.
Same as last year.
Maybe this year, KJ, you'll add a NL Pennant to those division titles you keep collecting, and then...and then go on to win three out of seven:)
